“ The purple Daisy picnic Café is located right at the bottom of Lookout Mountain. If you are driving up the mountain either to go to rock city or staying on the mountain for your weekend getaway, this is the perfect casual spot for a quick lunch. I had read about the rainbow sandwich and was intrigued and knew I had to order. This is a three layer sandwich with pimento cheese, chicken salad, and a cucumber spread. It is absolutely addicting. I did half of a sandwich with a cup of chili. My husband got the barbecue nachos. We were both happy with our lunch and it was a great stop after our drive down from Nashville. We would definitely come back. Don't miss the fruit tea by the way. ”

Where regulars known by name, the servers smile and great you warmly. Service is fast and prices are reasonable. If the server tells you your meal has a lot of food, BELIEVE her. I did not and could not finish. I had the BBQ Pork Nachos. To die for. I also had a bowl of chili. Tasted great just not spicy enough for me. Added Purple Daisy Hot Sauce and it was perfect.
